The Department of Zoology was established in the year 2017.The Department is actively involved in teaching Zoology for undergraduate degree courses in combination with other disciplines Anthropology, Botany,Geography.

The Zoology Department has several excellent teaching facilities including well-equipped laboratories with instruments like microcopes,Museum specimens.

The Department has a co-ordinator Prof.Mahua Basu and three faculties (State Aided College Teacher), Ms. Deblina Chaterjee,Ms.Rituparna Das, Ms.Saumita Ghosh.All courses are taught by lecture and practical work.

The Department encourages students by conducting different workshops,training,activities,seminars related to the subject.The Department always believes in inspiring students to discover their hidden talent in contributing towards making better citizens.
