ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Banipur Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1999 and The Department of Education in our college came into existence in the year 1999 as an elective subject of three years’ General course. Since the beginning the subject was very popular among the students and as the demand to introduce Honours course was high, the college authority decided to introduce the same and our college got to conduct Honours in Education from 2001.

Presently our department has two substantive teachers and two State Aided College Teachers. The number of text books and reference books in the department are adequate. The students can avail different kinds of books from the college Library as well as the seminar Library. The teachers of the department are sincerely engaged in teaching the students with utmost care and knowledge and the students admitted in this department are doing well in the University examinations.

One of the important Mission of the department is to make the students real citizens of the country, enrich them with an intellectual and logical ability for higher knowledge so that they are ready to go for higher studies, they should also enriched with sound knowledge of teaching and learning.

The department has also a positive role in teaching the students to inspire and motivate them for further studies and encourage them to participate in academic and co-curricular activities. It is striving for the all-round development of the students and coordinating and integrating social and individual aim.
